Stocks fall as oil prices stir economic worries

The Dow Jones industrials fell nearly 150 points in the final session before the three-day holiday weekend.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index, the benchmark for many widely held investments such as mutual funds, suffered a loss for the quarter of nearly 10 percent.
